Life Code and Statement of Faith
We have exciting news! Since you all have been following Esther's story for the past year (we couldn't have fought as hard as we did without your prayers, meals, donations, and flexibility!), you have most likely seen and heard about #EsthersMiracle and EsthersMiracle.org. Since Esther charged Jim and myself "to help other kids with ports" (which is what she wanted to do when she grew up), New Heart Christian School is expanding to become Esther's Miracle, Inc. and host a number of special programs - in addition to NHCS.
Esther's Miracle, Inc. plan was adopted by the Board of Directors on 4/15/23. The goals of NHCS remain the same, with a slight change in emphasis on our community service projects to serve "kids with ports" (kids and their families impacted by cancer and other childhood diseases). NHCS' Facebook page will reflect this update for the rest of the year as Esther's Miracle / New Heart Christian School. We will also have a separate NHCS Group hosted by Esther's Miracle page. There will be individual Groups for each of Esther's Miracle programs (details to come soon).
We're excited to continue partnering with you and your families as God continues to grow this mission. We're blessed beyond measure to partner with you, your children, and both our local and global community to see EVERY child grow up and fulfill the special plans God has for his/her life.
The Life Code and Statement of Faith is what we believe and live by as an organization. Our mission is to serve you and your child(ren), and we won't exclude anyone from being a part of New Heart Christian School as long as we can honor each other with love, even if we don't always agree on every detail. We want to model this kind of support and cooperation for all children to create for them an atmosphere of love and learning.
Life Code
We live out loud and unashamed of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 1:16-17)
We think, say, and do everything to bring God glory. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
We read the Bible, commune with other believers, and pray to stay in close relationship with God, and to know the will of God for our lives and do it with our whole heart. (1 John 1:3, Leviticus 26:12, Proverbs 3:5-6)
We praise and worship God with our thoughts, actions, and words. (Psalm 33:1; 34:1)
We only meditate on God and His Word. (Psalm 19:14, Psalm 49:3, Psalm 119:15, Joshua 1:8, Philippians 4:8)
We are eternally driven and live to bring more souls into God’s kingdom. (John 14:6, Philippians 1:21)
We stand for our nation’s flag, national anthem, and pledge of allegiance. (Romans 13: 1-2)
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible stories are true, that the Bible is God’s main method of communicating with people, and the Bible was written by people who were filled with God’s Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, was tempted by Satan but lived a perfect life without sin, died on the cross for the salvation and redemption of mankind, that He was raised from the dead by the Holy Spirit on the third day, and ascended back to Heaven where He now sits at God’s right hand as our mediator and High Priest. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 4:5-7; Luke 23:32-33; John 1:29; Mark 16:6-7; Mark 16:19; Hebrews 9:24)
We believe that God the Father is the perfect Creator of all the universe, Who exists outside of time, is Almighty, All-Knowing, and All-Powerful. (Psalm 139:1-18)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the life-force in the Holy Trinity, encompassing and representing everything God the Father and God the Son exist for. (John 16:13)
We believe in the eternal Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
We believe that water baptism is a physical representation of a person’s deliberate choice to be crucified with Christ and to rise a new creation and live the rest of his/her days for Him. We believe that the Spirit baptism is the indwelling of God the Spirit entering a person’s heart and making that person “reborn” in Christ. (Romans 8:15)
We believe that heaven and hell are actual places and that each person, born and unborn, will live forever in one of these places based on the way each person chose to live and for whom each person chose to live while on earth. (Matthew 25:46)
